After our big adventure, we all needed a quiet week to catch up. To catch up on sleep, washing, Gymboree, friends and Bing. Until Mum had enough of Bing and told Eloise it was broken so she had to watch PAW Patrol instead. Dad did not tolerate PAW Patrol for long and managed to get Eloise hooked on Pokemon, bringing back all the great childhood memories. With the kids in bed, we have been watching Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father Season 5 following them on their “magical mystery UK tour”. Definitely, one to watch to get you in the mood for those wanting to visit. Also Squid Game is ummm odd.

Lachlan has been loving his floor freedom and must have missed the fresh carpet life, rolling and moving about. He has started planking and looks like he is trying to crawl. Especially when Eloise is eating nuggets near him. When he is not rolling about, he is also loving sitting up in his baby chair, although he is still a bit wobbly in it. Eloise has enjoyed teaching him to play with toys.

We were back to Bookbug this week, with another busy class. Sophie was able to meet a mum she had been talking to, they are hoping to catch up for a walk soon. After the session, Eloise dragged Mum and Lachlan down to the library so she could read some Halloween themed books. Halloween is big here.

After missing Gymboree last week, Eloise was very excited to be back. This week the theme was Zoo. She loved exploring the lion’s den and climbing over the elephant. In the end, they were given a wee tube of bubbles and she could not wait to get home to show Dad (recently promoted from Dadda). But first, it was a coffee date with our friends. The girls enjoyed their drinks and mini cupcakes before Juliet dragged Eloise off to explore the toy corner. Mum was happy to catch up on all the Glaswegian mum goss while the girls played quietly. Eloise loves spending time with friends her age.

Sophie was also back to Sweaty Mamas this week, sweatier than ever. Eloise was keener to join in without holding Mum’s hand and copying some of the actions. She was not keen on all the squats though. When we moved down to the floor for some ab exercises, Eloise was happy to jump onto Mum with Lachlan, making sure Mum worked extra hard.
It was an early Saturday morning to catch up on the Gymboree session we missed. This was a smaller class, probably due to the early morning start. The activities were a repeat from Thursday so Eloise was feeling more confident and knew all the tricks of the trade. Running across the balance bouncing bar by herself and swinging like a monkey.

There will be a few more Eloise specials for the fridges in Radelaide.

When Liam was not working he spent most of the week in bed, battling the man flu, he returned a negative COVID-19 lateral flow. Unfortunately, he is not vaccinated for the man flu, we can only hope Oxford/ AstraZeneca are working on this. Turns out, it was actually tonsillitis and he was given 80 antibiotics tablets to get through. We are all hoping he gets better soon because we are sick of him being sick, Super Mum holding the roof up at the moment. He has seemed to have turned a corner.

Today was a trip to Braehead shopping centre. Eloise and Lachlan picked out some new winter clothes. We also managed to sneak in some birthday shopping behind Eloise’s back.

After her afternoon nap, little Ms Captain Underpants tackled her biggest fear, the vacuum cleaner. Eloise used to be terrified of the noise, even when it was happening on a different floor. Now she loves it. Super Mum took this opportunity to put her feet up, we also have the cleanest floors in Glasgow.

We just got around to updating the Happy Snaps and Watch us grow pages. Below is a comparison at three months of age, going for two very different hairstyles.
