Yesterday was an early morning call back home to wish Great Nanny a happy 95th birthday. Unfortunately, our present had not arrived in time, keep an eye on the letterbox for us please Nali.

Sophie and the children got ready for the day and headed to Gymboree, this week was Halloween Pumpkin Patch themed. Eloise was glad to see her best friend there, they grabbed hands at the start and did not let go. Running around the room, activity after activity joined at the hand. Sophie was blown away by the sudden increase in confidence and spent the whole session Mumma gossiping.

Afterwards, a bunch of the regular mums went for coffee. The girls were excited to spend more time together. Glasgow, watch out for the new youngest girl group.

A walk in the afternoon was enough for Eloise to fall asleep. This gave Super Mum enough time to bake the birthday cake and have some quiet cuddles with Lachlan. Eloise’s instincts were on point as she woke up just in time to lick the bowl.

This morning we all enjoyed a lovely sleep in until 07:45. We could not believe it! We went into Eloise’s bedroom just as she was waking up to wish her Happy Birthday! It was quick sibling cuddles in bed and a morning book before heading downstairs to open the presents.

We rang back home so Eloise could tear open the presents with the family. It was a slow start, she was very excited to play with the balloons.

After getting spoilt with gifts that included her very first bike and package sent from Adelaide (big thanks GGMa and GGPa) it was a quick final clean of the house before her party guests arrived.

Eloise’s second birthday party was Australian themed, with plenty of Koalas and the 2021 AFL Grand Final on in the background. When watching the AFL you need Aussie food, as requested by our Scottish friends, Aussie homemade chicken parmis and veggie pasties were on the menu. Super Mum had done it again on the cake front.

Eloise was spoilt with even more presents, Kirrie made some incredible cupcakes and Curious George brought along a pack of Scottish Fox’s Party Rings. She had so much fun climbing over Kirrie and Nathan all afternoon and playing dinosaurs with Murray. Meanwhile, Lachlan was busy staring at Curious George all afternoon. There were balloons flying in every direction and Eloise was laughing so hard she could barely stand upright. The Mega Bloks were a big hit, not sure who had more fun Eloise or the engineers.

Rolling with the Australian theme, they all tried some Vegemite toast.

We cannot believe Eloise is already two years old. It feels like yesterday we were all in Kensington Gardens celebrating her first birthday. Now she is learning how to ride a bike, has a younger brother and we are all on the other side of the world. When did all that happen?
After an afternoon full of laughter, eating, running around and sugar some PAW Patrol was required to slow down. Eloise was in bed and fast asleep in no time. She will need a good rest to keep celebrating with her mini friends over her birthday weekend.

Happy second birthdayEloise. Love all the photos. Sounds like she had a lovely day. It doesn’t seem a year ago from her first birthday. Sue
How precious, good effort by the parents to pull off an international 2nd Birthday party for Eloise, with presents galore and then a beautiful Koala cake by super mum and party vitals, with support from the sous-chef and local guests. Wish we were there for cuddles and more of the laughter.x Nali and Grandpa Dave.
Happy birthday Eloise!! I’m looking forward to seeing you riding your new bike!!
