The week started off with sibling cuddles on Eloise’s couch. She loves holding Lachlan, but you have to be ready for when she has suddenly had enough, or when Lachlan starts pulling her hair.

After Liam finished work it was time to put together Eloise’s new outside mini playground, passed onto her by her bestie. She was excited by it and gave it a good workout, although she got stuck on the ladder for quite a while.
There was no questioning whether Eloise had found her voice because all of a sudden she had developed an incredibly loud squeal. Dad showed her the sound meter app which she took on as a challenge “LOOK, LOUD!”

We all needed a quieter week after all the birthday excitement over the weekend. It was an eat-Mum’s-lip-balm kind of week.

We went shopping midweek, Eloise requested she sit next to Lachlan in the double trolley. All of sudden, we realised how big Lachlan has grown, he looked comfortable. Eloise was eager to choose a trick or treat bucket for Sunday.

Wednesday afternoon was very wet, “two bridges ‘washed away’ by heavy downpours”. On the way home from the shops we had to cross the newly formed river in HMS Seat.
Lachlan is determined to work out how to crawl and gets frustrated when Mum puts his toys just out of reach. He also now joins us for dinner in his extravagant highchair which he was gifted.

Gymboree this week was a Halloween Party. Eloise was dressed up as a fairy and Lachlan was rocking his skeleton top. She loved joining in with the group activities, although she found the witch and spiders a wee scary.

The post-Gymboree coffee catch-up has become a regular thing. It is great to watch the kids running around playing together. Eloise was excited for her babyccino, the UK does enormous babyccinos, although they do not seem to last long.

Thursday morning was a particularly early start for Liam, which meant lots of time to play in the afternoon. We were all itching for a walk around the local loch. Eloise quickly strapped her babies into the pram and waited for Lachlan to catch up. It was a slow-paced walk to the loch, Eloise was very good at announcing when she had crashed and is still working on how to steer.
The two year old was loving pushing her babies in her pram until she saw a giant puddle. It was too inviting to walk past. Unfortunately, it was deeper than her gumboots, which made out for an entertaining spectacle.
It was the perfect afternoon to feed the ducks and swans, actually just the swans, not sure where all the ducks have gone. Perhaps they have washed away with yesterdays rain.

This afternoon “Scotch-a-Lamington” flew out from Canberra and is on his way to Glasgow for COP26 to spruik his technology not taxes “plan”. We wonder if they will also lock him up in a room for his layover in Singapore? Hopefully, ScoMo remembers to bring over the new Australian koala tartan, after “Australian weavers officially register the pattern in Scotland”. We are big fans of it, it might be back to the drawing board for the Fensom tartan design, we have the Aussies working overtime on this.
