Over the past few weeks, the supermarkets have started to sell de-icing kits and snow shovels. Last Sunday we were discussing with Curious George whether we would need these. He must have given us some bad juju, Monday morning when Liam went to hop into the car the windows were all iced up. We had a wee scraper in the glovebox that came with the car, time to get scrapping. On the way to work there was a noticeable amount of ice.

After everyone at work had finished laughing at Liam’s car scraper it was onto Amazon to upgrade while Sophie and the kids went to the supermarket to buy the magical de-icing spray. Of course, now that we are prepared it has been a tad warmer and not an issue.
Back at Chaos HQ it was the usual shenanigans throughout the week.

Wednesday was a fun night with Sophie attending her first Bounce Back to Netball session. It is more of a social netball group than a competition. They also found it humorous as Sophie had the “Australian flick” shooting technique. This was also the first time Sophie was without the kids since she could remember. Super Mum had a great time and met lots of new buddies in the local area. Already filling up her social calendar for next week. Meanwhile, Eloise was asleep and Lachlan enjoyed the Amazon Prime Sir Alex Ferguson documentary with Dad, it was interesting to see footage of Glasow in the olden days and how industrialized it was.

Eloise has also started calling Lachlan, “Lachlee”. We think it is a mix between Lachlan and Lachie. Very cute. “Lachlee’s” two front teeth are coming through. Just in time for Christmas, cue song.

Today was a beautiful day. Cold, but the sun was out. Funnily enough, the nice-looking days can be cooler as there are no clouds to trap the heat in. We headed to Pollok Country Park and was about to give Nathan a buzz then sadly remembered he was in England. Oh well, off to find the coos. Except they were nowhere to be seen and Eloise yelling “coos, coos, coos” did not help. Earlier this month the coos had actually escaped, perhaps they had gone walkabouts again. Bugger, no Nathan and coos today.

It was 4°C lucky Amazon had delivered the goods with the pram footmuff this week. Lachlan was nice and toasty as we walked past Pollok House.

[Pollok House], built in 1752 and originally thought to be designed by William Adam (but who may only have been consulted on the design), was subsequently extended by Rowand Anderson in the early 20th century. It was given to the City of Glasgow in 1966 by Dame Anne Maxwell Macdonald, whose family had owned the estate for almost 700 years. It is now managed by the National Trust for Scotland and is open to the public. The house was modernised internally in 1899 by Alexander Hunter Crawford.
It was then onto the National Cycle Route for how to ride a bike lesson three. Although Eloise put her feet straight up, making Super Mum do the hard yards this afternoon.

The kids fell asleep as we left Pollok Country Park, so we swung past Silverburn Shopping Centre and Sophie took the opportunity to do some sneaky Christmas shopping for the kids. Wow, is it that time already!
