Lachlan’s sleep in was cut short when Eloise breached the castle’s walls “wake up Lach! Wake up”. We wish we had half the energy she does.

We caught the Underground from Tower Hill to King’s Cross Station. It was quiet when we arrived, the Barmy Army must have gone home after Starc’s first ball of the Ashes Series.

The plan was to catch the Avanti West Coast Trains back up to Glasgow but the children insisted that we upgrade our tickets. We quickly located our platform between platforms 9 and 10. Eloise drew her wand at the ready and we charged forward. Before boarding the Hogwarts Express, Eloise and Lachlan had to buy their Hufflepuff and Slytherin uniforms respectively.

After five hours we had made it to Hogwarts. Eloise and Lachlan were looking forward to the year ahead full of magic and shenanigans.

We finally made it to the top of our hill with the Batmobile and suitcase, it felt good to put up the feet after a big weekend. LonDONE 2.0! Double the family size, double the fun.

Today was also Delilah’s third birthday. Hopefully Grandma Nicholls took her for an extra-long run this morning and Becca baked her a cake.
