Thursday there was no rest for the Wicked, get it? Always funnier when you have to explain the joke. Eloise was up and off to Gymboree. Sadly her bestie no longer attends as she is about to start nursery. Our understanding is that it is like kindergarten, but they start at three years old. We will have to start looking into it for Eloise later next year. We can all hope she will then start to develop an accent.

Friday was a day to relax and slow down. The ice is getting thicker. The side windows were iced shut and could not be opened.

First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon announced that “Scotland is facing a “tsunami” of Omicron cases, with the variant likely to replace Delta as the dominant form of the virus within days”.

Saturday, we were excited to cut down our own Christmas tree, a first for all of us. Dad took the roof box off, or as Eloise refers to it, the car’s hat. We put the Christmas sweaters back on, even Lachlan’s Christmas bib and we were off. The Glasgow weather had different ideas though so we decided it would be a job for tomorrow and headed home. Eloise was very confused when we got home, we had promised she could decorate the Christmas tree and she was running around the house trying to find it. Poor girl.

We got home in time to watch the football match of the season, Liverpool vs Steven Gerrard at Anfield. The whole match Liam was torn who to support, it was like a bad dream.
Super Mum was also eager to try out her new Steam Tower 2000, making some delicious Slow Cooked Pulled Korean BBQ Beef Bao Buns. They went down a treat for dinner.

Army crawling update
This morning, the weather was looking better, well it was not raining at least. Back in the car with the Christmas Disney playlist for take two.
It was a short drive to the Edenmill Christmas Tree Farm.

The first part was tricky as it was down a very muddy slippery path. Eloise insisted that Fox could not miss out on all the action.

It was nice wandering around checking out the trees. Eloise occasionally disappeared into a pothole where previous ones had been dug up.

The tree then passed through the ‘cool tree wrapping ring thingy’ and into the car boot. We did not even need to take off the car’s hat.
Once we were home, it was the moment Eloise had been waiting for. Time to decorate the tree. We were ready this time. We had bought these stupid baubles that did not have their string attached, Super Mum had got through them all last night ready for Eloise.

Eloise started low and progressed higher and higher. The trick was she had to put them on faster than Lachlan was taking them off.

In the afternoon the children were getting restless so we went for a stroll to feed the ducks. It is getting harder to see the ducks. Plenty of Christmas lights along the way.

BoJo “gave his Covid update on Sunday evening – just hours after the UK’s Covid alert level was raised to four due to the spread of the new Omicron virus variant”. Long story short, he told everybody to be careful, not hold controversial Christmas parties but no restrictions were brought in, because you know, BoJo. At least they are speeding up the Booster Program, well trying to at least.

Doing it in style!
