On Monday, Eloise was relieved that Amazon had delivered her pump. Her cycling has impressed us, now with her tyres properly inflated she will be even faster. The pump is Lachlan’s new favourite toy, the kids pretend they are putting out fires with it, Eloise on the hose and Lachlan always pumping.

In the afternoon we strapped in Lachie and Foxie and tried to keep up with Eloise.

Tuesday and Wednesday were full of climbing and arts and craft. Eloise got around to painting her unicorn money box. Lachlan saw this as the perfect chance to knick his sister’s elephant purse, the perfect crime.

On Wednesday, the Glaswegians were disappointed to hear that “the new Batgirl movie has been scrapped by Warner Bros Discovery months before its planned release… Reportedly budgeted at more than £58m…The production was filmed entirely in Glasgow and the local council said it had brought a significant economic benefit to the city”.
Thursday morning, Super Mum was upstairs when she heard a lot of banging, “everything all right down there?”, “YESSSS Mum, just marking breakfast”.

The weather was screaming for a BBQ! It had been too long since we cracked out the world’s most expensive gas bottle.

The bed is getting busier, Eloise is going through a dinosaur craze, she has to make sure that all of her babies have one each. Thanks Muzza Bizza.

Friday morning, Super Mum and the kids went to Strathkelvin Retail Park, Lachlan needed his first ‘real’ pair of shoes. The experienced Eloise, helped him pick a pair. After midday, he had to give them a good test drive, tearing through the West End.

Ironically we decided to return to Kelvin Hall gymnastics, and Lachlan had to take his shoes off. Lachlan was having a fantastic time, now that he is upright and even better at climbing.

The kids still had energy to burn, it was the perfect day to explore further into Kelvingrove Park, we should really come here more often, it is not the easiest to get to though.

We had only heard amazing things about the Gyros at MacTassos, there was no chance of walking past without picking one up. It lived up to its hype ticking all the boxes.

After the delicious gyros, we had not gone far into Kelvingrove Park when we heard the Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band practising.

The shoes were a big hit with Lachlan strutting his stuff.

Not entirely sure why, but we ended up leaving Kelvingrove Park to check out Victoria Park. The kids’ playground count was out of control.

There was a wee garden maze for the kids to get lost in. They eventually made it to the middle to ring the bells.

On Friday, “The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has made a spectacular return after a three-year break. The 2022 show titled Voices features traditional military acts as well as more than 800 dancers and musicians”. We had planned to get tickets, but left them too late, we will have to be more on the ball next year. Certainly, on the bucket list, it looks incredible! There is buzz in the air as “Thousands of performers from across the world are in Edinburgh for the start of the world’s biggest arts festival, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe will see more than 3,000 shows from 58 countries mark its 75th anniversary“. We will have to see what takes our fancy.
Friday night was also the start of the Prem! “Arsenal start Premier League season with a win against Crystal Palace”. We need some grandparents here so we can slip away to Anfield this season.
Saturday morning, the kids both woke up in a very cheery mood.

After long chats back home, Eloise quickly threw on her kit and we rushed off to Football Buzz. We could not be late, Eloise loves the warm-up routine.

After a tiring Football Buzz session, we picked up Super Mum and Lachlan and made our way to Oscar’s Cafe at Easterton Farm Park. The kids were excited the moment they jumped out of the car, watching the older kids’ horse riding lessons.

We made our way around the stables, there were lots of horses. Brave Emma could not get enough of them, making sure they all got a decent pat, with a cheeky chuckle. Eloise was more cautious to begin with, but in the end, she went for it. Lachlan put on a brave face, and was happy as long as they were not in his personal bubble. He has come a long way.

We followed Emma around the stables. City girl Eloise, was not too sure about this.

After Emma’s morning dose of horses we left the stables past the goats and back to the Oscar’s Cafe for the world’s hottest coffee.

After varying levels of lunch, it was back out to the farm. Lachlan was fascinated by the guinea pigs and rabbits. He kept trying to stick his fingers into the cage to pat them like Emma. Eloise was worried he would get nibbled and made sure that he did not get too close to the cages.

Emma wanted one more run through the stables as she worked out which horse she would like for Christmas.

In the afternoon, we were all checking out how our bikes had held up the past couple of weeks on the Glaswegian roads. An easy way to entertain the kids.

In the afternoon Liverpool disappointingly drew their first match of the season against Tom’s mates.

This morning we had to upset Lachlan by cutting him off from his blueberries before he got a tummy ache, he was not impressed. The kids had some more presents to wrap and Eloise made sure that Lachlan was learning the correct way.

On this weeks Sewing with Sophie Special we have our first party outfit on show. Eloise was keen to wear it after many measuring sessions.

All dressed up, the girls headed out to Cassidy’s 3rd birthday party, leaving da boyz in peace. After folding all the clothes, mowing the lawn, cleaning the ceiling and all that jazz we thought we would try out the new local chippy. There was just one problem, Lachlan did not quite make it there. We will have to give it a crack next time.

There was no sleeping in party land! Eloise enjoyed partying with her besties and played her first party games: pass the parcel and musical statues. She won a ‘prize’ for musical statues after some encouragement from Super Mum. The picnic was a big hit and the bouncy castle got a few good goes.

As always, the moment Eloise got home, she was keen to show da boyz the party bags. Lachlan was lucky enough to get a baby party bag too, sadly nothing for Dad. The velcro ball and catch game filled the evening activities, even Lachlan tried his best.

[…] Sick of shopping, Lachlan set the pace down High Street, catch him if you can. […]
