On Monday, there was some much-needed rain, parts of Scotland are looking dry. Like usual, rain meant no afternoon nap for Eloise as she tried to catch raindrops in her mouth.

Instead of sleeping, Eloise decided to make pasta necklaces, a good quiet activity while Lachlan was asleep.

Eloise had her bossy tone on in the afternoon. Super Mum had cut up some apples for her afternoon snack. Eloise was not happy with how they were prepared and kept telling Super Mum to cut them up like Jennine does.

The herb garden is flourishing. Eloise has a little nibble each night as dinner is being prepared, although she is not a big fan of the flavour. Surprisingly she keeps going back.

The kids then work on their Glaswegian before bedtime.
Tuesday was a quiet one, but ended as they all do, in the herb garden. Lachlan or should I say Buzz was helping make dinner.

After a solid night’s sleep, Buzz flew into his Big Sister’s room Wednesday morning ready to play.

It was arts and craft time. Painting inside, high risk, high reward. The kids love it.

After a quick run about it was to the library. Lachlan was very excited when he spotted a Cocomelon book.

Thursday the kids tried their new playgroup, Super Mum was not convinced by the vibe, might need to keep looking. We are looking for a Gymboree or a fun session that Lachlan can do weekly. In the afternoon it was baking time.

Thursday night we got around to paying for our TV licence which allows us to legally watch the TV in our house. In the UK they tax everything that moves or breathes, as the TV does not move or breathe they just charge you an annual fee. I was going to joke to Sophie that it was time to get rid of the TV, but I value my life too dearly.
This morning there was a group of five buddies at Hoolies. Lachlan was straight back to his running pillow.

We walked to Milngavie for lunch at midday and rendezvoused with Liam. Eloise was excited to see the bike but was upset he did not bring the seat for her.

Liam accidentally ordered the world’s largest coffee that was served in a bucket with two handles. he was going to fly home afterwards.

Emma is growing at an extraordinary rate, poor Jo. Eloise could not believe her luck, more shoes! Not just any shoes, Frozen shoes! Eloise is starting to think that Christmas is a monthly event and that Jo is Santa Claus. We’ll have to get Emma something.

Big mean Nali has been saying that Lachlan looks a bit like a “small homeless man”, it was time to get his first haircut. We were trying to hold out for another special Auntie Belinda haircut, but Lachlan was getting desperate.
We headed to Jordanhill Barbers as we had seen a special chair which we thought Lachlan would enjoy.

Lachlan’s first haircut started well until the barber pulled out the spray bottle. Lachlan was not trusting him after that.

Lookin’ sharp, Lachlan wanted to head straight to the playground to show off his new doo.

We had not timed it well with a short sudden downpour. Lachlan took refuge on his horse.

[…] Football Buzz time, but Eloise refused to put on her ‘boots’ and would only wear her new Peppa Pig shoes that Emma had generously passed on to her. They are at least one size too big, Eloise did her best to convince us they fit her perfectly. […]
