The Adelaide Hills folk have been missing their downpours so started the week heading north up to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands where Grandma took her first selfie. Perhaps she has been spending too much time with Eloise.

Eloise had been looking forward to this day ever since her third birthday parties, she made sure that no one was preparing for Halloween before her birthday was done. After all the fun trick-or-treating last year, the game plan was the same, starting at Juju’s. Lachlan quickly made himself at home and fired up the BBQ to ensure he had enough energy for big night of running around with the big kids.

Eloise could not believe her luck, Molly was there and even better, Molly had set up a nail salon.

After completing his weekly grocery run, Lachlan was cooking up a storm in his kitchen which kept him entertained for an amazing amount of time.

Lachlan with some help from Jane thankfully filled everyone’s bellies as the excitement was growing.

This year there was a scary fairy, Batgirl and their noble sidekick Master Skeleton. At this stage Lachlan had not worked out the importance of his bucket.

After last year, we were prepared in the joke department as we set off into the night. The girls need to work on their delivery, Eloise was a bit shy but enjoyed thanking the houses. The clocks changing last weekend was certainly noticeable.

Lachlan was fast out of the gates, setting the pace, those skeleton legs were rapid.
It was getting late, we had hit up a dozen odd houses and all three had filled up their buckets. There were a few sweeties along the way, Super Mum had been prepared and Lachlan’s bucket was preloaded with some dairy free chocolate which kept him busy.

Eloise was sad that Emma was not feeling up to scaring the neighbourhood with her and Juju but made sure to collect some sweeties for her to make her feel better, we will have to drop them off before Dad gets to them.
