Wednesday morning the kids were missing their Football Buzz sessions and were up bright and early to work on their kicking. They enjoyed how far they could kick the ball down hill.

We headed back down to Norwood Parade for some tricky business before Lachlan cooled off in the mega bucket.

In the afternoon we all packed into the Disco and Grandpa DAVE drove us out to see the cousins, or the kids first cousins once removed. We were all still recovering from the big day at Henley Beach.

By the time we had arrived at Aunty Belinda’s she had already finished Great Nanny’s and Nali’s hair, Lachlan was up next. Lachlan calmly stepped up for his second ever haircut but first special Aunty Belinda cut, RIP Aussie mullet.

As Belinda was finishing, a Paris appeared out of the wild. We had missed hearing all about her shenanigans on Christmas day. Paris was quick to grab Lachlan in a bear hug and Lachlan was enjoying the attention while unsure about if he knew her.

After looking forward to an Australian haircut for months and telling all her Glaswegian friends about it, Eloise was a wee nervous. After spotting Lachlan getting the Mickey and Minnie Mouse smock she was all onboard. It was one last cuddle with Paris before Belinda worked her magic.

Eloise was very good throughout the haircut and Belinda made her comfortable. Happy with her new hairdo, Super Mum was next in the hot seat. Aunty Belinda was an absolute superstar, a massive thank you Belinda! She had done a terrific job on Great Nanny, Nali, Eloise, Lachlan and Super Mum. Wowza! It was lovely to have all the Sinclairs together for the first time since we left Australia.

On Thursday, the kids had energy to burn, surprise surprise, we resorted to releasing Lily to sort them out.

Liam is thrilled that Lachlan’s joy for the Beautiful Game has continued to blossom he will be in a good position when we return home for Football Buzz.

The new Wetlands are always a winner, the kids discovered the water playground which obviously ended in a drenched Lachlan.

When we got back to HQ the toddlers had multiplied and were screaming for “babyccinos” in unison.

In the afternoon Nali helped the kids with their treasure maps before we set off on a wild treasure hunt. Next stop Echunga. We had to take the Disco again as we had all three Rug Rats. Grandpa DAVE is thinking of starting up an Uber baby service in his spare time.

On the way up the shenanigans from the back seats were getting quieter and quieter, both Eloise and Xavier had tapped out with Lachnado powering on, just…

Rested and full of energy, as soon as the three toddlers were free from their car seats they pulled Grandma Nicholls in all directions hunting for treasure. Xavier, who we must say was the most committed to the pirate character was the first to find the lost treasure of Echunga.

After yet another yummy BBQ and Grandma Nicholls’ signature pasta bake, Eloise quickly worked on everyone’s nails before we headed back down the hill.

Today started with an extra couple of babyccinos, supposedly “Mr Monkey” wanted in.

It was then an exciting drive back out northeast again to meet two new friends for the very first time.

It was another stinking hot day, almost 40°C, pretty much been the weather since we arrived. Too hot for anything except the swimming pool again. Although the kids were keen for a cheeky post-dinner run around where Lachlan found his favourite playground equipment. There is a reason he is called Lachnado.

Eloise has been getting good use of her new Strikers Peter Siddle “sunny glasses”. We guess the goggles have been getting a solid work out too, she always has both close at hand.

Today, “the prime minister and Scotland’s first minister have held “cordial” talks at a private meeting in Scotland. Rishi Sunak and Nicola Sturgeon met at a hotel in Inverness on Thursday night, following a series of engagements by the PM north of the border”.
