The New Year started a wee different than it usually does.

It was a beautiful day today “Scotland has enjoyed the mildest Hogmanay and New Year’s Day on record thanks to a flow of warm subtropical air from the Azores. The Met Office confirmed temperatures reached 15.9C (60.6F) at Achnagart in Glenshiel, Kyle, on Saturday morning”. Making the most out of our current heatwave Caroline wanted to see the Highland Coos at Pollok Park. Eloise brought her bike along and was much more stable on it. Looks like she has had another growth spurt. Liam dashed back to the car and got the multi grips to lift the bike seat. He should have known better, as soon as Eloise saw the tool she was all over it. Refused to put it down, even tried cycling one-handed. That was it, not interested in the bike anymore.
The coos were in the top paddock and no amount of Eloise’s screaming was bringing them closer. As we left we stumbled upon another coos paddock, where the premium coos have been hiding all this time. These looked like the real deal.

Turns out, Eloise has been rocking the coo doo all this time.

Next stop, Caroline, Sophie, Liam, Eloise, Lachlan and Casio walked/ rolled to the top of Queen’s Park to look at the view of Glasgow City.

By the time the Batmobile had drifted down the 4WD track, we were starving. We finally found a chicken parmi at Brodies Bar, surprisingly not common in a British restaurant.

It was naps all around in the evening.

[…] With warm full bellies, we needed some exercise. We rendezvoused with Nathan at Pollok Park for a lovely cycle and walk through the trees. After a tiring week, it was lovely sitting about in the sun, relaxing while watching the kids tire themselves out. We all know Lachlan is not one for a casual sit down so instead, he picked a fight with a local reed bush which he enjoyed body slamming from all angles. We were so relaxed we completely forgot to check out the coos. […]
