The week started with a boyz trip to the doctors while international fashion icon, Eloise, strutted the streets in her chosen get-up. Luckily the doctor was not too concerned with Lachlan’s bark.

We rushed home because Liam was back at work this week. Someone has to keep an eye on Curious George. The sun was out Monday, as in the real sun, not this fake sun we have had the past couple of months. Puddlesuit time. We will have to look into a puddlesuit for Lachnado.

Eloise refuses to go into the Batmobile footmuff, you can not even bribe her in. Unless it is on Dad’s chair. Perhaps she is still shaking the last of her sickness off. Eloise has almost finished her antibiotics, she will be sad when they are done as she has been enjoying her four bottles a day.

Monday, “Australia has reopened its international border for the first time in nearly two years, bringing joyful family reunions and a boost to tourism”. There are a lot of people over here excited about trips across this year.
Tuesday, palindrome and ambigram day, some say this is good luck. The sun was still hanging about, so works for us.

Eloise was desperate to go swimming but we felt like we all needed a few more days to beat this cold, the bathtub did the trick.

Getting rid of Lachnado’s dinner throne did not last long. Eloise has claimed it as her own now.
It was announced that in “Scotland all legal restrictions to end on 21 March… People will still be asked to self-isolate if they test positive for Covid-19 – although this has never been a legal requirement in Scotland”.
Wednesday morning, the kids were feeling better and had found their voices again. They were excited they had the energy to get out of the house and Super Mum booked them both into the afternoon Bookbug session. No idea what she is saying, any suggestions? Must be the Scottish Gaelic.

Thursday morning brought Storm Gladys Berejiklian to Glasgow. The type of storm we love, delivering plenty of snow.

“In pictures: Scotland snoozes under blanket of snow”

It was Lachnado’s turn for the FIK snow angel. While Eloise was yeeting snowballs all over the place, wonder who taught her that…

Luckily Liam was working from home and could drive us to Gymbroee, it was very slippery conditions with “snow and ice [warnings placed] across Scotland”. There were cars struggling to get up our street. Due to the snow, there were only two others in the class. Eloise was happy because the theme was Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Eloise grabbed as many as she could, while of course, holding Foxie. As the class was quiet, Lachnado slipped in for a taste of his first Gymboree session.

Lachnado’s first Gymboree session looks like it wore him out. You are indeed looking at a photo of Lachlan, actually asleep. THE BOY CAN SLEEP!!! Pigs then started flying through the sky.

It turned into a bit of a late night for the kids as during bedtime Eloise found Sophie’s hat which kicked off a number of games, “Dad, look me wear Mum’s hat”.

Thursday was also the day that marked the “end of legal need to self-isolate in England” for COVID-19, which means “people are no longer legally required to self-isolate if they test positive for Covid”. Could this really be the end? BoJo is pretending it is at least.

This was widely overshadowed in the news as to make matters worse, Putin decided to invade Ukraine.
As soon as the clock struck midday today we were out of here. We all felt like we needed to stretch our legs after a lazy couple of weeks recovering. We headed back to Whitelee Wind Farm, it looked very different today. When we left the sun was out but we were surprised with how much snow was still at the wind farm. It was a shame we had left the sledge at home, the kids would have loved being dragged around on it. The Batmobile has had a thorough bashing about the streets of Glasgow, unfortunately, UPPAbaby does not have a snowplow attachment. We woke Eloise up when we arrived and she sprung out of the car to play in the snow.

Yesterday, Super Mum and Eloise picked up a new Bear Grylls style polar fleece for Lachnado, with his receding hairline, he now looks like a wee 80-year-old man.

The Science Centre was closed again this time too, perhaps next time. There was a unanimous vote for hot drinks so we stopped at Silverburn Shopping Centre to warm up and Eloise picked up some cheeky chicken nuggets. We also finally found a pack of Tunnock’s dark chocolate coated caramel wafer biscuits.

At bedtime, Eloise made sure that the few hairs that Lachnado has were in order. Such a helpful big sister.
My heart melts, they are growing and changing so much. đź’•
