Wednesday morning before nursery Eloise and Lachlan were playing pizza shops and having a jolly good time.
Lachlan had so much fun on Tuesday night trick-or-treating that he was keeping his eyes peeled for any trick-or-treaters who were running a day late. He was excited whenever someone was walking up the street.
Eloise’s Barbie camper set continues to be one of Lachlan’s favourite toys, he enjoys preparing Barbie for another road trip before seeing what over toys he can find in “Sista’s room” in the afternoon.
The last few Fridays after Lachlan’s gymnastics sessions when we return at midday we would usually do a lovely stroll into Milngavie with Lachlan napping in the pram, it then turned to pram walk with Lachlan resisting the nap. These days he just rejects the pram altogether before screaming babyccino and heading off, he knows the way.
Saturday morning, Eloise was buzzing to ring her new wee cousin and show her the new cat notebook that she had made with Dad. Although, no matter how much shouting she did she could not wake her up. “Dad, Dad, you know, maybe she will like one when she is older you know”. Surprisingly, Lachlan was the calm one when he saw she was sleeping.
It was another great week at Football Buzz this week, happy to report we are on a two-week hot streak for not pushing over other children.
As soon as da boyz got home the gals kicked them out of the car and they were off. Eloise was super excited about her friend’s birthday party, she has a jam-packed social calendar. It was such a fun party at Edenmill.
Da boyz had to head out for some secret boys business, we have big plans for next week which we had to prepare for. After a nap and some crackers, Lachlan enjoyed sprinting through the Autumn leaves.
Super Mum’s birthday is next week so we decided to head out to the most orange restaurant we have ever seen for burgers while we had a quiet weekend. Eloise would like you all to know that she finished her whole burger all by herself, she was very proud of herself.
When we woke up Sunday we had no plans at all. It was a lovely day which we had to make the most of so jumped in the car and headed across to Edinburgh, we have a long list of people we need to restock souvenirs for after our trip back to Australia in July. Eloise was sad she forgot her camera, her shots are getting better.
By mid-morning, Lachlan wanted to run through ye old town which is always a bit tricky. We decided to let him loose in the Scottish National Gallery as we checked out a bit more, he enjoys pointing out the animals in the impressive paintings.
The Edinburgh weather was holding out spectacularly, although the tourist numbers have certainly dropped after the Fringe.
On day two of Super Mum’s early birthday celebrations, we headed to her favorite restaurant, back to Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. We were all missing Laura and co.
After delicious meals, we passed through the pretty Tron Kirk Market before we made our way back with Ms Poppy-Nose.
We were tired, however, both Eloise and Lachlan seemed to only be getting started as they bolted towards Salisbury Crags and Arthur’s Seat, Eloise said she would like to return to climb again.
We then made the drive back across Scotland with the sun at an awkward height. After dinner Super Mum slipped out to netball. Tonight is Guy Fawkes Night. We did not quite manage to get Eloise to bed before 12 hours of fireworks started so instead she slipped on down with Dad, Eloise says “hiiiiii everyyyoneee!”
