Yesterday morning on a video chat with his grandma Lachie rolled from front to back for the very first time. He must have sensed the action to come.

In the afternoon we picked up our keys to our new house.

Eloise was excited moving into her sixth house in as many months, she is a pro at it now. Although we are sure she must be a wee confused.

As soon as we walked through the front door the staircase was an instant hit, we’ll have to do something about that.

After swiftly removing the car seats, Liam made a quick dash to IKEA while Sophie explored the neighbourhood with the kids.
The wagon was just able to fit in the new dining room table and chairs.

Eloise must have thought it was Christmas when we started pulling box after box out of the car. A quick top-up of some Irn-bru and she was ready to help. She still refused to put her pants back on. She must have felt at home.

We all then packed into the car for a trip to ASDA (similar to Kmart). With a trolley overflowing before the end of the second aisle we dropped it at the house on the way back to the apartment. We are hoping to start staying at the house later next week. There is still a lot to sort out.
It was getting late after a tiring day so we grabbed Subway for dinner, disappointingly no chicken fillet option in Glasgow. Tom, you will be relieved to hear there is also no seafood cheddar, well in Glasgow at least, cannot speak for London at this stage.
With the kids in bed, we finally had a second to sit down, but no time to relax. Amazon Prime in the UK is the bees knees. You can buy almost anything online with same day delivery. We bought enough household items to send Jeff Bezos back into space.
When we signed up for this wild adventure with a newborn and a toddler (fast and loose) we were expecting some challenging times. However, we realised we were completely crazy when we were setting an alarm clock on the weekend to wake up earlier than the kids the following day.
Beep beep beep!!!
Up nice and early we started packing bags to gradually move our belongings from the apartment to the new house. The pram was loaded and off we trotted to the car.
Today we had good friend of the blog Nathan helping us out. Some of you may recognise him from previous escapades.
Australia meet Nathan.

Nathan is a living legend and all-round great guy who has saved our bacon on multiple occasions.
Want a Glasgow tour, Nathan is your man…
Want IKEA furniture, Nathan is your man…
Want to design and build jet engines, Nathan is your man…
Nathan provided us with a bed frame and found us furniture to deck out Lachie’s room. More importantly, he had a bag of toys to entertain Eloise today. Usually armed with biscuits, Eloise is getting along swell with him.
Liam and Nathan did a dash to IKEA in separate cars, both returning with full loads of the essential furniture.
The afternoon was IKEA building time, with approximately 15 flat packs to put together over the weekend. Facebook Marketplace had also delivered the goods, literally (a nice Glaswegian did two round trips to drop off furniture for Queen Eloise).
Chief supervisor Eloise was quick on everyone’s heels making sure no one was slacking off. Occasionally demanding the tools herself when she was not happy with the workmanship.

Eloise helped put together her first bed. The next few weeks will be interesting.

Nathan brought over some real Lancashire Eccles Cakes which Eloise more than happily devoured.

Meanwhile back on Ground HQ, Lachie spent most of the day rolling about with his newfound freedom, loving the Ormerod quilt.
The next few days we will be equally flat out as we try to furnish the house from scratch and move our belongings across from the apartment. Thanks to help we were able to put a huge dent in the task today. We are looking forward to settling in and definitely owe people some Aussie Parmis and Pavs.

Well done all of you. I felt exhausted reading this!
