After a big Sunday last weekend, Monday was supposed to be a rest day for Sophie and the kids. However, the sun was shining so the three musketeers set off to explore.

Tuesday, Eloise’s best friend, Juju, came over for a play date and Wednesday, Jennine came over for morning tea and Lachlan cuddles. In between, there was plenty of rolling about the house and army crawling.

When Dad got home Wednesday, Eloise grabbed her bike and we headed to the loch. Liam had decided it is officially gloves weather but that was short-lived. Eloise was also sporting her new rain jacket, hopefully, it will fit her for a couple of winters.

How to ride a bike lesson two started with a face plant on the bike, producing an impressive bruise. Good catch Dad. Eloise was back on the bike in no time, she is still not entirely happy with how wobbly it is though “wobble, wobble, wobble”.
Thursday Gymboree was puppy themed, Elosie was quick to grab her beloved Marshall for the whole session.

The kids had both been feeling a wee unwell the past couple of days. We finally managed to get a face to face doctors appointment so they could check out Lachlan. It was an easy morning with an emergency doughnut run in the afternoon before checking out the new benches on The Gruffalo Trail.

We mentioned in a previous post that it is starting to get much darker than the photos appear. Incredible how well phone cameras and filters are these days. Heading towards January there will only be 7 hours of daylight, while in June there are almost 18 hours, due to being at 56° N latitude, crazy.

This week Scotland Book Week turned ten. To celebrate this morning we all went to the local library for a special Saturday toddler edition of Bookbugs. Eloise was buzzing to show Dad the library for the first time.

After songs, reading, bubbles and arts and crafts the plan was to try out one of the cafes for brunch. However, they were packed so we had to think of a Plan B. It was getting close to lunchtime so we walked home, jumped in the car and headed to Falkirk. Chief Navigator Sophie delivered the goods with a great stop at Cook’s.

Full of food we were about to head home but Eloise and Lachlan wanted to check out their mates again, The Kelpies.

After a nice dawdle around The Helix, it was back home for hot chocolates while the kids watched their first Christmas movie ‘Elf Pets: Santa’s Reindeer Rescue’, a bit of a dud.
[…] year. We have a long video to do that for us. The kids love watching themselves flash up on the TV like Bluey does, hopefully, you will too. It is long so make sure you grab an Irn-Bru from a Woolworths near […]
